6 months, 2 people, 3 countries, 4 cities, 8 apartments, equal parts adventure and displacement, reward and loss, possibly more confusion than fun, and a lot of music to get us through some of it. Not that its over, but we are finally settling into our winter home. Everything is new.
Cover art was inspired by Eva Werner’s Tribute to Man and 4 lines by Russian poet, Boris Slutsky:
Any beginning is the beginning of the end.
That’s why we begin with an egg,
but end up with a broken shell,
and this is why we crown any beginning.
The 20 tracks chosen for this mixtape are meaningful to the past two months, leaving Denmark and establishing a different life in Sweden. It was our second beginning, and a much better one than the first -kind of like Sigur Rós’ Ágætis Byrjun album.
